The daily reports carry the evidence; this page carries the shape. The engine's full path with each piece's origin verdict, the model lineage with every challenger's fate, the honest board of what worked and what died at its gate, and the campaign at its certified size. Every claim here traces to a verdict or a ledger entry.

01the engine path

What happens to a sample, start to finish

One loop goes in; complementary MIDI comes out. Every box below exists because a rating demanded it, and each carries the verdict or decision that put it there. Green boxes are verdict-traced and standing; blue are provisional (adopted, awaiting more ear evidence); the amber box is the one piece of the engine that cannot be rebuilt (four verified copies exist).

02the model lineage

Every model tried, and what his ear did with it

The lineage tree. The live engine (green) = a frozen public backbone plus thin adapters trained on his own music, each about 1% of the weights. Every challenger (red/amber) was tested blind at his ear behind sealed criteria; none survived. takeaway: three challengers entered, zero adopted, and the engine that holds is the one his verdicts built.

The pattern the tree shows: the base model is scaffolding; the identity lives in the adapters, and every attempt to improve on them so far has lost to them at his ear, under blinds neither he nor the builders could tilt. The one component that cannot be retrained to match itself (the chord-color adapter, its original training run lost to history) is the lineage's known risk, held in four verified copies with its nearest twin pinned as fallback.

The honest board: adopted against killed

Everything below entered through the same door: preregistered criterion, then evidence, then a ruling. The adopted column holds because each line traces to a blind verdict; the killed column is the record's proudest asset, because every entry died at a gate written before the data came back.

04the campaign

The measurement campaign, at its certified size

17 fair tests on sealed, never-seen ground: 8 pass the locked bar, 95% interval [0.230, 0.722], point 0.47 against the two-in-three target. The target is not met. The trend runs the other way: the era's second half out-fired its first by 33 points, and the rater himself was calibrated mid- campaign (rating noise zero; his bar rises about a point per week on old material, by design; the scorecard is drift-immune because every counted test was rated same-day).

All 17 fair tests in serve order. Passes cluster on musical grounds; every fail carries a measured mechanism, and two grounds were capped by their own reference quality (his score on the source itself). takeaway: the engine's remaining distance to the target lives mostly in the ground classes of section 05, each of which now has a named lever or a named limit.
